WAYS TO HELP
FIND YOUR SPOT ON THE SIDELINE
Every team needs a head coach, assistants, and a few helpers.
AGE 21+
HEAD COACH
Leads one team. Runs practice, talks with parents, and calls plays on game day.
AGE 18+
ASSISTANT COACH
Coaches one group, like the line, the backs, or the defense. Teaches technique every night.
ANY ADULT
TEAM HELPER
Not ready to coach? Help with gear checkout, team messages, photos, and game-day setup.
WHAT IT TAKES
EVERY COACH, EVERY SEASON
These rules come from the WFFL and Utah law. We will walk you through each step.
BEFORE YOU COACH
✓ Pass a national background check.
✓ Complete USA Football coach training.
✓ Take a concussion training course.
✓ Head coaches must be 21 or older. Assistants must be 18 or older.
ON THE FIELD
✓ Teach safe tackling form at every practice.
✓ Follow league contact limits and the concussion rules.
✓ Give every player at least 10 plays a game (Jr Mite: 16).
✓ Win with class. Lose with class. Respect the officials.

PRACTICES A WEEK
In 2026: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 6:00–7:45 PM.

SATURDAY GAME
Game times change by division. Home games are at Favero Field.
FALL
ONE SEASON
Practice starts in late July. Playoffs and bowl games end in October.
